Funny and Feisty

Gwen Coburn is a queer comedian, musician, Bostonian, and grown-up horse-girl. Her comedy combines feminism, music, feminism, theater, and feminism into songs like “Thank You For Not Murdering Me” and “I Peed (Just A Little Bit).” She’s a rising talent; having started her solo career in 2020 she now performs her act around the US and internationally. She recently featured on the Lysistrata Comedy Festival in Austin, TX.

Her one-woman show, Sad Girl Songs: A Comedy Show, premiered at the 2022 Vancouver Fringe Festival where it was called “very funny, clear, and emotionally wrenching.” In 2021 she won Brava For Women In the Arts Theater’s National Search For The Funniest Mami. Her writing has been featured on Reductress, McSweeney’s, The Belladonna, and Modern Love.

Gwen is an alumni of the ImprovBoston National Touring Company, and produced Boston’s Musical Comedy Night. She has a Masters degree in vocal pedagogy from The Boston Conservatory.
